This study examines the impact of participating in various teams on the well-being and performance of both individuals and teams. Specifically, we are researching how different technological tools, task requirements, and social dynamics across these teams influence experiences of excitement or burnout, ultimately impacting satisfaction and productivity.
Join us!
We are collecting data from R&D, development, design teams or similar, ideally cross-functional teams in one or more companies with the following characteristics:
- IT, biotech, or other knowledge-intensive industry
- Individuals who are working on multiple teams (e.g. multiple project teams simultaneously)
- Companies are relatively well established (e.g. they are Series C funding and above)
- Size of company – at least 100 employees in the unit/department we focus on.
What we will do
- We will conduct 30-minute to 1-hour interviews to help us understand employees’ experiences and the diversity of contexts they navigate in MTM.
- We will send out surveys through Qualtrics to collect individual and team data
Our offering
By understanding the dynamics of multiple team membership, we aim to equip managers and employees with strategies to foster positive workplace experiences, ensuring that technology and team structure support, rather than hinder, well-being and performance. This knowledge is crucial for creating resilient, satisfied, and productive teams in modern organizations.
We are committed to delivering these findings in the most impactful way for the participating organizations—whether through a tailored presentation, a tailored report, or an interactive workshop.
All communications and any publications resulting from this research will be anonymized and maintained in complete confidentiality.
